Horrendous place to work, if you want to walk out of a building wondering if you are the reason someone died… this is the place to do so. Policies don’t allow nurses or techs to adequately save someone. Policies always come first!

Outpatient clinic attached to HCA West is always busy. As an MA you handle a lot and the pay does not match. Management focuses on metrics and throughput over quality patient interactions.

ER techs see a lot and learn fast. Good experience for someone wanting to go into nursing or paramedicine. The ER team bonds through the chaos which is about the only positive some shifts.

Staffing is the biggest issue here. Regularly taking six patients on nights. Management is disconnected from bedside reality. Pay is okay for the area. Would not recommend long term.

Typical HCA experience. Pay is decent with the sign on bonus but staffing is always short. Ratios are rough. High traveler usage. It is what it is. Good for getting your hours in.

Step down unit gets the ICU overflow and floor patients who are too sick for regular medsurg. Its an impossible assignment most nights. Great nurses who try their best in a system that doesnt support them.

ICU can be good when properly staffed but thats becoming rare. The nurses in this unit are dedicated and skilled. Management needs to invest in retention instead of constantly training new people who leave after six months.

RT department is spread thin across a 515 bed hospital. You cover a lot of ground. The work itself is interesting but the staffing ratios make it stressful. HCA corporate culture permeates everything.

Fellow nurses make it worth showing up but the HCA corporate culture of metrics over patient care is exhausting. Average RN pay here is well below the national average. You can do better elsewhere.

Radiology department is decently equipped but always understaffed. Call shifts are brutal because youre the only tech in the building. Pay is below average for the area and raises are tiny.
