Staffing is the biggest issue here. Regularly taking six patients on nights. Management is disconnected from bedside reality. Pay is okay for the area. Would not recommend long term.

Typical HCA experience. Pay is decent with the sign on bonus but staffing is always short. Ratios are rough. High traveler usage. It is what it is. Good for getting your hours in.

Step down unit gets the ICU overflow and floor patients who are too sick for regular medsurg. Its an impossible assignment most nights. Great nurses who try their best in a system that doesnt support them.

ICU can be good when properly staffed but thats becoming rare. The nurses in this unit are dedicated and skilled. Management needs to invest in retention instead of constantly training new people who leave after six months.
