APRN / NP

Pay is competitive for NPs but the patient load is unsustainable. I am rounding on 20+ patients daily and documentation takes hours after my shift ends. Admin keeps adding responsibilities without adding providers.
CNA / PCT

Really glad I picked this hospital for my first CNA job. The rehab unit is busy but rewarding and the nurses genuinely appreciate the help. They are flexible with my school schedule too.
Respiratory Therapist

Best RT department I have been part of. We run the vents, do the ABGs, and the intensivists respect our input on weaning protocols. Management is transparent and shift differentials are solid.

Onc nursing is emotionally taxing and this unit does not offer nearly enough mental health support. The chemo education program is excellent though and the oncologists are wonderful. Staffing needs work.
Physician / Resident

Strong teaching hospital with attendings who genuinely care about resident education. Call schedule is busy but you get excellent clinical exposure. The nurses are knowledgeable and easy to work with.
Medical Assistant

They expect MAs to do the work of three people. Rooming patients, answering phones, prior auths, all at once. And the pay is embarrassing for the workload. High turnover for a reason.

Been in the OR here for a long time. Surgical volume is good, the team is experienced, and turnover times are efficient. New manager is still finding their footing but overall a solid place to practice.
LPN / LVN

Decent floor with mostly elderly patients. The RNs are helpful but as an LPN I sometimes feel limited in scope. Pay is on the lower end and there is no clear pathway for LPNs to advance here.
