Sacred Heart Hospital

The unit gets really busy but thats medsurg for ya. Recent changes to staffing are kind of bad. Admin made it to where the charge takes on 3 patients when were short staffed which i think is unsafe. Overall culture on this floor is good and management works with your schedule.

I’ve worked here for 15 years. It’s the only hospital I’d want to work at in the area. The management team is pretty good for the most part. I like the way this hospital is run overall compared to other area hospitals.

overall decent workplace, but staffing can be inconsistent. Overflow areas like ED or Echo overflow often lack proper hospital resources while patients are still billed as observation or med-surg stays. Pay is mediocre, staff feel underpaid, parking is bad

Mgmt on the unit works really well with my schedule and is very helpful if you have an issue. Overall floor culture is pretty good. Teamwork on day shift is good. Sometimes get PTs that we shouldn’t be getting but that’s bc we surge.

Decent for a CNA. Nurses are helpful and willing to teach. Patient loads can be heavy on med-surg. Pay is low but that is the norm for CNAs everywhere unfortunately.

Love the NICU here. Great team atmosphere and the neonatologists respect the RTs. Pay is average for the area but the work is rewarding. Pensacola is a great place to live too.

Good OR to work in with variety of cases since its a Level II trauma center. Coworkers are awesome but pay could be better. Staffing fluctuates and some days your assignment isnt ideal.

Sacred Heart has a strong ICU team. Pay is fair for the Pensacola area. Staffing could be better on weekends but the culture is supportive. Good place to grow as a critical care nurse.

NICU has been my home for years. The teamwork in this unit is unlike anything else. We fight for our tiny patients and management generally supports us. Sometimes feel unheard by corporate but the unit manager tries.
