Good for residency training but the resources are limited compared to academic medical centers. Military culture adds a layer of complexity to patient care that can be educational but also frustrating.

Working alongside corpsmen is a unique experience. Very structured and educational. Pace is slower than civilian hospitals which some people love and others find boring. Good for building foundational skills.

OR volume is lower than civilian hospitals but the cases are diverse. Government benefits and pension are the main draw. If you value work life balance over high pay this is a good option for CRNAs.

Being a nurse here is different than civilian hospitals. Chain of command is real and sometimes gets in the way of patient care decisions. But the training opportunities and benefits package make it worth considering.

Structured environment with good training opportunities. Not as fast paced as a civilian ER but you get solid experience. Government holidays and benefits are a nice perk.

Military formulary is more limited than civilian hospitals. You work with what you have. Government pay for pharmacists is below market but the benefits pension and job security make up for it if thats what you value.

Good for corpsmen and medics who want structured training. The pace allows you to really learn each skill properly. Government benefits are solid. Not the most exciting ER in the area but reliable and safe.

Love working with active duty patients. Lots of sports medicine and musculoskeletal injuries. Motivated patient population that wants to get back to duty. Government benefits and schedule are excellent.

Military medicine has its own rhythm. Good benefits and job security but limited in the types of cases you see. Great for someone who values stability over high pay.

Interesting patient population. Lots of active duty injuries and retiree rehab cases. Government benefits are solid and the work life balance is better than private sector rehab facilities.
