Medical Assistant

Love working in peds here. The providers are kind and the patients make every day fun. Schedule is predictable with no weekends. Pay is just okay but the quality of life makes it worth staying.
Physician / Resident

Excellent EM residency training site. High acuity, good volume, and the attendings are passionate about teaching. Nursing staff is strong and collaborative. Definitely a program that prepares you well.
Occupational Therapist

Hand therapy clinic has good patient variety but the productivity expectations are unrealistic. Twenty-minute eval slots for complex hand injuries is not enough time. Documentation eats into lunch every day.

Strong ICU with a great preceptor program. They invested in new monitors last year and the charting system was recently upgraded. Night shift culture is especially tight-knit. Call-off policies could be more lenient.
CNA / PCT

Worst job I have had. They give you 15 patients by yourself and then wonder why call lights go unanswered. I asked for help multiple times and was told to prioritize better. The pay is not worth the stress.
APRN / NP

Urgent care NP position is great for work-life balance. Three 12s a week, no call, and the pay is surprisingly competitive. Patient volume is steady without being overwhelming. Wish they offered more CEU support.
Lab Tech / MLS

Micro section is run well and we have good specimen volumes for experience. Pay for MLS is below market though. They keep losing techs to reference labs that pay more and wondering why.

Twenty years in emergency nursing and this is the best department I have worked in. Management trusts the staff, pay just got a major market adjustment, and the teamwork is unmatched. They invest heavily in continuing education.
